iffessl Association, Napier, March 13. At the Supreme Court the Crown entered to stay proceedings in the charge against Daniel Tohill, for bicycle stealing, in which two juries failed to agree, for the theft of fur necklet prisoner was sentenced to four mouths. Richard Webb was found guilty of attempting to carnally know a child, and was sentenced to four years. In the divorce case A. E. McWhiuuio Y. John McWhmnie, desertion, a decree was granted. In the civil suit, Oresswell and Gleeson, solicitors, v. Bwen MacDonell, Inspector of Police, £l2O 8s 3d, balance for professional services rendered in the criminal libel action, MacDonell v. George, judgment was given for amonut^claimed.
