The Carnival is progressing at Bragauza, Portugal. A peasant represented the late King Carlos, the peasant’s eldest son representing the late Crown Prince. The peasant’s second son impersonating Buca — one of the King’s assassins—not knowing that the revolver he was using was loaded, fired, killing his father.
The son was so much shocked that he had to be forcibly restrained from committing suicide.
