HORSESHOE DRAINAGE BOARD.
Auneetiug of the above Board was held yesterday. Present Messrs Hunt (Chairman),- Dalton, Lusford and Thompson. The tender from Messrs Robins & O'Grad} 7 , for clearing Main Drain and fifth drain, the former at 2s Gd, and the latter at 2s per chain, was accepted. The work on Campbell drain was left; to the Chairman to arrange. It was reported that the work just started in the Sandhill drain, had been let to R. J. Seaton at 9s iOd per chain, and that Smith & Go. had the Sluggish creak at Gs 2d, and Dalton, at Is Id. It was decided to allow Mr Goodwin £2 for removing timbertfrom Main Drain, provision for which had not been made in the contract. A letter was received from Government, asking that Sluggish River and Horseshoe Drainage Boards should nominate Comms ss i ouers to consider the possibility of amalgamation of the two Boards.—lt was decided to nominate Mr J. G. Wilson.
