LAND BOARD.

A special meeting of the Wellington Land Botsfd was held on Thursday, and was attended by the Commissioner of "Crown Lands (Mr J. Strauchon,) Messrs J. M. A’Court, A. Reese, J. Dawson. The following transfers were approved on the usual conditions: — Section 14, block 16, Hautapu, W. H. Thompson to R. Levieu ; sections 14 and 1.8, block 16, Apiti, T. A. Morice to H. Lett. The transfer of sublease of section 8, block 14, Hautapu, from F. Shackleton to T. Stewart was apnroved.

On condition that the improvement conditions are fulfilled the Board will recommend for approval the application of Roderick Baker to transfer section 7, block 815 and 5, Winrinaki and Raetihi, to himself, F. Baker, H. J. F. Thode, Alex. E. F. Thode and Arthur E. F. Thode.

The Board will recommend the application of H. H. Scott to transfer section 2, block 14, Kaitieke, to J. W. Holder, provided the first year’s improvements have been effected, and subject to payment of the rent conceded under the Bush and Swamp Act of 190.3

The proposed transfer of section 46, Mauunui Village Settlement, from A. Winn to William Hooks, was recommended for approval under the special circumstances. William Wheatley’s interest in section 26, Manunui Village Settlement will be declared forfeited for noncompliance with the conditions of his lease as regards improvements, residence, etc.
