Press Association. Dunedin, March 5. Recently, in the Judge’s room at Dunedin, there took place the final act in the drama in which the late “Elijih” Dowie was at one time a prominent actor. Mr Frederick Sut.ton (of, Thornhy) made a will in favour of Dowie. After protracted litigation in America the -will was upset, and the result was to revive the former New Zealand will, under which all Mr Sutton’s relative (except two) benefited. The Salvation Army also came in for a share On the evidence adduced at the trial in America the next of kin and the Salva(Spu Army agreed to Heat the will as a nullity. Accordingly, application was made to Mr Justice Williams to declare the will void and grant a letter of administration to a brother of deceased. His Honor made an order granting letters of administration to John Beunieworth Sutton, of Invercargill, _ by consent, monetary payment being also directed to be made to the Salvation Army. This motion also disposed of the action —Hawke and Fraser v. Sutton and others.
