London, March 3. Mrs Robinson stated that {Mr Kimber demanded from the Shipping OomxJauy compensation'for the loss of her letters. The proceedings were futile as the letters* were never lost. Mr Kimber gave Robinson a cheque to pay the Company’s legal expenses. Robinson declared that she was ignorant of the claim made by Kimber, who acted thus in order to make a sensation.
