Sir Charles Mathews, K. 0., hopes to call the ’ JSew’ Zealand witnesses on the 10th, wh.eu the case for the prosecution will be closed. MRS ROBINSON AT BAY. Received March 4, 8.48 a. in. London, March 3. Mrs Robinson stated that {Mr Kimber demanded from the Shipping OomxJauy compensation'for the loss of her letters. The proceedings were futile as the letters* were never lost. Mr Kimber gave Robinson a cheque to pay the Company’s legal expenses. Robinson declared that she was ignorant of the claim made by Kimber, who acted thus in order to make a sensation.
