NEW ZEALAND ATHLETES.

FURTHER IMPENDING CONTESTS. Press Association —Copyright. Hobart, March 3. Mr Oomhes acknowledges that an Australasian authority on walking, has publicly stated that Kerr’s walking at the Athletic Championship, was very fair and would be accepted anywhere. The athlete has evidently taken heed of his lesson in New Zealand, when disqualified. The Maorilanders will visit Melbourne and Sydney. At the latter city Tremhath will meet Barker in a half mile, to see who is the better man, the Sydneyite believing he was not at his best in the contest here. McKay and Frawley will have another go at pole jumps, the latter thinking he can do better with a bamboo pole, one of which is being obtained from Wellington. The team will also compete in seven University Championships.
