FLOODS AT NEWCASTLE.
Press Association-Copyright. Received February 24, 10.34 p.m. Sydney, February 24. The low-lying country around Newcastle is inundated, only the roofs of houses showing in certain localities. Railway traffic is impeded, throwing numbers of the mines idle. Stock has-been removed from farms lying along the Hunter River to the highlands.
