THE FIFTH TEST,
Steady rain continued till 4 o’clock to-day, but since then the weather has been fine, with a drying wind. The wicket is sodden, but if there is no more rain it is hoped it will be in fair condition by noon to-morrow. Fielder will probably be an absentee, but Crawford may play. Received February 21, 10.47 a.m. Sydney, February 21. No rain fell through the night, but the weather is very threatening this morning.
