HUNTERVILLE RAM FAIR.
The annual Ram Fair conducted by Messrs Abraham & Williams was held at Hunterville yesterday. Nearly idOO.entries were"yarded and the arrangements for the sale were very satisfactory. The rams were brought into a ring and passed on to other yards in quick* succession - and Mr Barnes was thus enabled to get through the sale in time for hovers to return home by evening trains. The Fair was inclined to be a bit slow at first but as the day wore on, things brightened up considerably and bidding was brisk, although high prices were not ruling. The sheep were far below last year’s standard, but'the'dry weather must to some extent account for their poor condition.
