MASONIC.

INSTALLATON AT KIMBOLTON. The annual installation of officers la connection with the Masonic Lodge of Kimbolton, No. 123, toot place last evening. There was an excellent attendance of members of the local lodge and visitors were present from Marton, Feilding. Wellington and several other places. R. W., the Grand Superintendent Bro. R. Fletcher was installing master. Worshipful Bro. A. C. Matheson, P.M. of the Feilding Lodge; acted as director of ceremonies. Bro. A. Waugh, S.W., was installed as W.M. for the current term in a most impressive manner by the Grand Superintendent, Bro. Fletcher. The following brothers were also, invested with office: — S. Bro. E. Nix, J.W. ; Bro. J. A. McDonald; Treasurer, Bro. G. F. Smith; Secretary, Bro. H. F. W. Hausen ; S.D., Bro. J. A. Bailey; J.D., Bro. O. H. Baynes; LG- Bro. W. P. Pratt; Tyler, Bro. Bro. W. Morton. Some Grand Lodge members were present. The Feilding Lodge was represented by I.P.M. Bro. Worsfold, and about a dozen other members'. After the ceremony had concluded a banquet was held at which the usual loyal and masonic toasts were duly honoured. The Grand Superintendent Bro. B. Fletcher motored through to Palmerston so as to catch the early train for Wellington, when the function was concluded. Several of the members of the Kimbolton Lodge were unable to attend from Apiti. Rangiwahia and other parts «owing to their homes still being in danger from fires. Nevertheless there”waa a really good and the function proved most instructive to a number of young members. The I.P.M. Bro W. J. Beard, who was unavoidably absent, will be invested at next meeting.
