CARDINAL MORAN.

Press Association. Auckland, February 17. Cardinal Moran arrived from Sydney by the Manuka early on Sunday evening, and was welcomed by the local clerics of the Roman Catholic Church and an immense crowd. He was escorted by a procession in his carriage to the residence of Bishop Leniban. The scene in tovjrn was one of intense enthusiasm. The Cardinal’S'Carriage was rather pushed along than pulled by horses. On arrival at the Bishop’s palace Bishop Leniban made a speech of welcome. Oatrdinal Moran thanked the people of Auckland for the very enthusiastic welcome extended to him, and said such a reception could do no other than cement the union which from the earliest days had held together the great Diocese of Sydney and the Diocese of Auckland.
