At a meeting of the Executive of the Pahiatua Central Branch of the Farmers’ Union it was resolved that the Provincial Executive be urged to do their utmost to get an amendment in any new«Labour Bill to the effect that a reasonable percentage of employees must be members of the union before a union has power to cite employers to appear before an Industrial Court. The secretary was instructed to communicate with the neighbouring branches of the Union to move in the same direction.
