The City playing Ponsonby made 76 In the first innings and Jfonsonby have lost six wickets for 113 in their first innings. D. Gallagher 27 Robinson 21 and Jacobsen 20 were top scorers for Ponsonby. White'4 wickets for 24 and Jacobsen 5 for 27 bowled well for Ponsonby. Parnell playing Eden are all out in the first innings for 144; Barry 38 Breese (not out) 25 and Dinnison' 24 being the top scorers. Relf took seven wickets for 50 runs for Eden. Eden have lost two wickets for 70 runs in the first innings Brook-Smith (39) being the best score. . Grafton against North Shore made 213 in the first innings Sloman 80 Mason 36 S. Jones 30 and La wry 20 being top scorers. Hadden took four wickets for 40 runs. North Shore have three wickets down for 89 Mason securing the three wickets for 13 runs. Deluding v. united.
Feilding proved too much for the United in the two days’ match which finished on Saturday, and scored an easy one-innings win, United batsmen showing very poorly against the visiting trundlers. In senior cricket at Masterton on Saturday Carlton A made 330 (Boyd 79, Cgier 43, O’Dea 41, Madsen 41, Swan 37) against Masterton 'B, 4 wickets for 31. Carlton’s scorefjis a record for senior cricket in the Wairarapa. The Marton Carpenters played another match against the Cosmopolitan Club at Marton on Saturday, and won£the game by an innings and 23 runs. *" Only eight members batted for the Cosmopolitans. The top scorers for the carpenters were: Hargreaves 25, Moon 16, Donnelly 14, and Signal 10, and the'total score was 83. The Cosmopolitans made 15 and 45.
