BUSH FIRES.

Press Association. Nelson, February 12. Owing to the continued dry weather bush fires have again broken out. One at Pretty Bridge Valley, Belgrove, yesterday afternoon started at Mr T. Price’s and spread with terrific elocity oyer an area of a couple of miles. The houses of Messrs Price & Son and E. Hoult, and stables of O. Dai yes were in danger all night, and were saved only by persisting fire fighting. Mr Davies and family were nearly suffocated and had to be removed to Belgrove. a At Wakefield owing to a spark from a log two stacks of winter feed at Mr P. Baigant’s were ruined.
