PALMERSTON RAM FAIR.

“"i • ■ ' The annual Ram Fair held by the Manawatu Auctioneers’ Association took place yesterday, when there was a good attendance. The entries in all classes were large, and were representative of the best flocks from all parts, of the district and elsewhere. Romneys and Lincolns were very strongly represented,’ and the Southdowns and English Leicesfcers were also much in evidence. ’ Bidding was fairly brisk throughout the day, though perhaps hardly up to the usual standard, particularly as regards Romneys. This was no doubt’due to a number of breeders hanging off for the Masterton Fair. Appended are details : On account of a client, flock Lincoln rams, 3-tooth, bred by Mr G. V. Pearce Oastlehill.—All passed. On account of Mr J. Wilson, Marton, flock Lincolns, 2-tooth.—passed at 3gus. On account of W. B. Pearce, Oroua Bridge, flock Lincolns.—All passed. On of Mr H. F. Arkwright, Mar ton, flock Lincoln.— Passed.
