BEHIND THE SCENES.

Press Association. —Copyright. Received Feb 11, 11.37 p.m. London, Last Night. Yeltheim, on trial at the Old Bailey, denied the charges of blackmailing, and testified that he simply demanded what was promised him when he arranged with the late Barney Barato the details of a plot to cause a split among the Boers by means of a pseudo Boer revolution in 1897 to depose Kruger in favour of some other prominent Boer. This would have obviated war, and enabled Barnato to make huge sums by stock jobbing on the eve of the revolution.
