SHOOTING.
CHELTENHAM RIFLE CLUB. The annual meeting of Cheltenham Rifle Club was held on Saturday evening. The accounts showed a credit balance of £ls 14s 3d, and the report stated great improvement had taken place in last year’s shooting. Votes of thanks were passed to donors of trophies, and to Mr Mills for use of property for the rifle range. The belt presented by Mr R. Taylor, and the medal presented by;Mr R. Read were won by Mr R. Christensen for the best aggregate. The following officers were elected —Patron, Mr F. Pickering; President, Mr J. Bruce: Vice-Presidents, Messrs Mitchell, Conway, Evans, McOorkindale, and Jos. Belfit; Captain, MrJas. Barrow; Vice-Cap-tain, Mr R. Reid; Secretary, Mr R. Taylor; Auditor, Mr O. E. Johnston: Committee, Messrs Christensen, Faur, Stuart, R/ Barrow, Pussoil, Richards, Taylor, E. Phippon, and and R. Reid; Shooting Committee, Messs R. Taylor, Faur and Clifton. The club will do class firing on Saturday.
