Per Press Association, ' Dunedin, February 10. The latest move in connection with the dissatisfaction that has,#6xl\ isted in the ranks of the laborers for some time took placeAlate this afternoon, when th§ /Union Steamship Company filed/with the Clerk of Awards reference to the Arbitration Court of the dispute between the company and the Wharf Labourers Union. The wharf labourers at a recent meeting decided to cancel their registration as a union, and an application in that direction was formally made. The Act provides, however, that the cancellation cannot be allowed whilst a dispute is pending. It is said that the demands filed by the company make a considerable concession both as to the hours, rates of pay, and conditions to the union.
