LONDON WOOL SALES. Press Association. Received February 6 13.43, p.m. Loudon, February 5. At the wool sales there is improved competition for crossbreds, but' no change in Merinos. FROZEN MEAT. v Napier, February 6. ■A The O. O. & D. Company, Loudon, cabled the following report on the frozen meat market:—To-day’s quotations are —Napier, Wellington and North Island mutton ; Jamb first quality new season’s 5-ii'd. Beef hind-quarters forequarters 3J a d. STOCK REPORT. Messsr Dalgety & Co., Ltd., report having held a clearing sale of surplus stock, sundries, etc., on account of Mr J. T. Ross, of Awahou, Pohaugina, on Monday, the 3rd inst. There was a fair attendance of buyers, and although bidding was at times very dragging, yet a total clearance resulted, the prices obtained being fully up to market reports. The thirty-three dairy cows offered were a good lot and realised from £2 to £6, the line averaging £3. Sheep sold fairly well, one nice line of 800 4 and 6-tooth RomueyLincoln ewes, sold on account of Mr J. Palmer, realised 15s. The following is a list of prices :— Dairy cows from £2 to £6, v/eaners 7s to 10s, yearling heifers 80s, bull 80s. sheep, 4 and 6-tootb ewes 18s to 15s, f.m. ewes 5s lid, ewe lambs 6s lOd, wether lambs 6s lOd, Lincoln rams 265, Romney rams up to 20s. Pigs: Store pigs 9s 6dt o 18s 6d, sows 25s to £2 17s 6d.
