Mr Nathan announced at an Indaba of the 200 to 350 chiefs at Ngautu that Government intended to pursue a policy of forgive and forget, and therefore had pardoned all the rank and file concerned in the rebellion in 1906. The natives are impressed and delighted at such leniency.
