DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB. Press Association. Dunedin, Dec 28. The Dunedin Jockey Club Summer Meeting was concluded to-day in perfect weather. The attendance was again large. The totalisator investments for the day were £6385 as against £5319 last year, making a total of £13,743 10s for the meeting as compared with £11.661 in 1906 Six bookmakers carried on business on the course. The stewards held an inquiry concerning the running in the Federal Handicap on Thurdsday, and after hearing the evidence of the jockeys R. Derrett and Beal, they decided that the mishap to Orderly, who fell, was purely accidental. Results : Milburu Hurdles, 1% miles.— Leeside 1, Royal Shell 2, Southern Cross 3. Also started : Storm. Won by 10 lengths. Storm fell. Time, 3.37 1-5. Fernhill Hack Handicap, 6 furlongs.—All Guns 1, Pretty Nlel 2, Ard Reigh 3. Won by a length and a half. Time, 1.714 -5. Allonton Welter, 7 furlongs.—■ Sam Weller 1, Notus 2, Stepfeldt 3. Also started: Lady Landon, Relpete, Grafton Loop, Welbeck, Steplink. Won by three lengths. Time, 1.32. Carnarvon Hack Race: Signor (61bs) 8.6. Railway Hack Hurdles; Oassiopea (17 lbs) 10.8; Papatawa (lOlbs) 9.i0; Xavier (lOlbs) 9.10. Makowhai Welter: Medallist (lOlbs) 9.10. Pukenui Hack Welter: Buoyant (61bs) 8.11; Greenleaf (Gibs) 8.11; Carissima (61bs) 8.6. Mr J. H. Prosser has withdrawn all his team from their Rangitikei engagements owing to most of them going sore. The team included Gauze, Swimming Belt, Kurawaka and Taitoko. Bunyan, Greenleaf and Toa Tuhi may not start at the Rangitikei Summer Meeting. Orucinella suffered from the hard going at Manawatu and was not again seen out at that lixture. She is still sore, and if the going is not better at Rangitikei she will not go to the post.
