Hartnett put up the magnificent time of Imiu lßsecs, thus beating the New Zealand record of Imin 18 2-sseos. Tho record is subject to the wood being measured by the officials of the Association. Measurement shows that Hartnett’s record time of Imiu. 18sec. in the single-handed sawing at the Axemen’s Carnival yesterday was made on a block \}4 inches under the correct size. The- time, therefore, will not be recognised.
