All work ■was done outside the course proper, which was a trifle holding. Guidwife£and Fleetfoot ran five furlongs in Imin 6sec, the latter appearing to most advantage. Bonny Glen ran ten furlongs'in 2miu 20sec. Bonoform was going easier than Paritutu at'the end of seven furlongs covered iu lmin 34sec. Label and Red Rain were together at the end of six furlongs in Imin 22%sec. Cambrian did four furlongs/ In 54sec. Pohutu badly beat Carl.;Rosa over ten furlongs in 2miu 32soc. Downfall finished half a length in trout of Master Delaval, 'with Zimmerman three lengths away, over the same journey compassed in 2min 20 3-seso. Muskerry and King Billy finished together over six furlongs run in Imin 21sec. Apa - made a back of Uhlauder over ten furlongs in 2min 33sec. Uranium alone did tue same journey in 3min Slsec. St. Aidan and Diamond Star were on terms at the end of six furlongs in Imin 2lsec. Aborigine beat Separator over the same journey in Imin 33sec. Bobrikolf, assisted at intervals by Olochette and Ohauteuse, did six furlongs in Imin 21 l-sssc. Dawn, Sir Tristram and First Gun were in that order at tbe end of a similar task done in Imin 31sec. Mahuta ran a round on the tan in Imin 57seo. Miss Winnie and Wliarekura, with Duart as companion for the last four furlongs, ran five furlongs in Imin Ssec, Wliarekura finishing last. Moriarity did six furlongs in Imin 21sec.

After breakfast Santa Rosa, Waimanga and Pyralis finished in that order at tbe end of four furlongs in 53 2-ssec. General Soult did five furlongs in Imin Ssec.
