THE WELLINGTON FIRE.
Per Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. During yesterday and to-day the Prime Minister lias been inundated with telegrams from all parts conveying sympathy iu the loss sustained by the Dominion Messages were received from Lord Elgin, the Hon. W. P. Reeves, the Hon. T. Bent, and the Hon. Mr Wade, Premier of New South Wales, amongst others.
Sir Joseph Ward has sent suitable messages in reply. He suggests adapting tho new Drill Sheds in Buckle street, Wellington, for use next Parliamentary session, ponding re-erection of Parliament House.
The Premier lias received from the Governor the following message from the King through the Secretary of State; —“I am commanded by His Majesty tho King to express the sincere regret with which' £he|JJhas heard of the destruction by lire of the Parliamentary buildings in the Dominion of New Zealand.
