THE DAIRY SCHOOL.
PROPOSED MARTON SITE. The following letter has been recoived from Mr J. Stevons, M.P., by the Secretary of Marton Technical School Committee : In reply to yours of -ifch insfc., re establishment of a Dairy School near Marton, I desire to say that this matter ha:; already been brought | under my notice .'by "the local branch '■ of the J'Vnjers' tTuibii, Which, body ' has asked mo to point out to• .the Government the suitability of the '■ Marton Railway Junction as a site for the proposed school. I have alreadv written to the Hon. tho ivtinister for Agriculture supporting tho application made by tho Farmers' Union, and shall of .cojirso give my continued .support to the project ol establishing the school in thife locality, as I consider it to be from a technical point of view most highly desirable. The'ro are, however, numerous other considerations whipji will no doubt have to be dealt with, such for example us an ajnplo supply of pure water, and this 1 understand is indispensable, but these are matters of detail with which the Department's experts will have to deal. With respect to tho offer of your committee* to allow tiio temporary use of tho Marton Technical fcjcJiool rooms, I have to say that I have ' written to tho Hon. the ] Minister for Agriculture in support of the offer mado by your committee,
