A tobacco war is raging between growers and dealers at Hokinsvillo, Kentucky, whore 400 armed and masked men attacked the city. They imprisoned all the police and firemen, burned several tobacco factories, fusilladed the houses of dealers and destroyed £40,000 worth of property. A party of pursuers exchanged shots but the marauders, who were believed to bo tobacco growers, escaped. It is reported that the manager of the Imperial tobacco factory was whipped to death.
