The trial of ST Social Democratic members of the second Duma and IT soldiers and civilians, for complicity in the alleged military regicidal plot has begun here. A miblic- hearing was refused. Thereupon accused asked to bo sent back to prison and instructed counsel to withdraw. The prosecution then proceeded iu their absence. The party has issued .1 statement that the accusation is a baseless pretext to justify alteration of the electoral law. One hundred thousand workmen and students in St. Petersburg and Moscow struck in sympathy with accused.
