THE ALL-RED ROUTE.
Per Press Association—Copyright. Received Dec. 4, 9.57 p.m. London, Dec. 4. Mr Reeves, the High Commissioner, thinks there is an excellent prospect of tho All-Rod Route Committee recommending a scheme for an Atlautic-Pacifio service affording the desired speed, and not involving a prohibitive subsidy. He considers it unlikely that the British Government will subsidise the Atlantic section only, since that would not afford the Imperial advantages desired. Received Dec. 5, 8.55 a.m. Loudon, December 4. Mr Clifford Liftou, lornier Minister of the Interior for Canada, discussed tho All Red Route at a meeting of the Liberal Colonial Club. He was confident tho scheme would shortly succeed. Mr Reeves announced that New Zealand was prepared amply to contribute. Mr Collins, Commonwealth agent, mentioned that reasonable cost would be a factor in the situation. Australia wass sympathetic in all Imperial matters. Lord Brassey suggested that the Canadian Pacific Railway] might financially co-operate.
