XJio Franco-Canadian commercial treaty gives Canada the French minimum’tariff oh a wide range of articles, aud France obtains' the intermediate tariff for her chief exports to the Dominion. [Canada has three tariffs, a preferential tariff of 83X per cent with Britain, an intermediate tariff giving slight preference to countries which give her favourable treat? meut, and a high tariff against the rest of the world. ]
