Serious damage has beeu done to oyster beds at Hervey Bay by large fish, attaining a length of six feot. Investigation proves the fish to bo taohinotus ovatus, which has not been previously known to grow larger than lOin. in length. ■ One was filled with crushed shell aud young oysters.
