SHOOTING.
NEWMAN CUP. The first competition for.tho Newman Cup was fired yesterday between the Martou and Bulls teams which resulted in a win for Martou. by 103 points. G. Head of the Martou team was top score with 98 points—a very good performance. Several good scores of the Martou team were spoilt by using had cartridges; ' tho shots hitting the ground about 10 yards m front of the firing point. The following are tho scores:— MARTON.
Cheltenham Rifle Club hold the fifth competition for tho belt ou Saturday last. Following are the scores:— 300 500 600 h’p TI.
The club will do class firing on Saturday next. All sworn in members must attend. Shooting will start at 10 a. in. sharp.
