ALIDA LOMAN.

To-night at Marton Opera House, Madame Alida Lomau, the famous Hojiaudish singer, whom Herr Bcn’uo Schoiek is introducing to this country, is to give her first (ami only) popular song recital iu Marton. Tiie famous songstress will sing about fifteen different songs, and as hardly any two are similar iu style a delightful variety is attained and Madame is said to excel equally iu all styles of vocal music. The audience will receive programmes containing tho full text of songs and translations of those which are not given iu English. This attention on tho part of tho management will, no doubt, be appreciated. The Unto solos by Mr George Poore, basso songs by Mr Brin Anderson, and piano solos and ’ accompaniments by Herr Bonno Seherek, will provide an additional attraction. It is to bo hoped that local music students will not be slow in taking advantage of hearing songs of all styles snug by this talented vocalist who comes here while her voice is still fresh and youthful. Seats can bo booked at Mogrtdgo’s, and tickets tor the unreserved seats can also be obtained. The M Lipp" piano used at to-night’s recital is*specially supplied by the Dresden Piano Company, Wellington.
