ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Press Association. Invercargill, Nov. 21. The Southland Times’s Glenorchy correspondent reports that on Monday evening Mrs Davidson, while driving homo, stopped to throw an orange to an old man. One of the reins foil and started the horse, and Mrs Davidson in. endeavoring to re-covcr-tho rein foil, was kicked on the head and died instantly. The horse bolted till pulled up by a loose rein entangling in the'axle, and was caught by the Imsbaud of deceased, who found his little daugh: ter unhurt in the bottom of the trap. Wanganui, November 23. Mrs Alice Hodgson, wife of a resident of Hunterville, who was brought into a private hospital hpre about a week ago, was fouud in an unconscious condition locked ini the bathroom last eyouiug, having taken a dose of the disinfectant Jjvsol. Medical aid was summoned, but all efforts to counteract the poison were unavailing, and she died an hour afterwards.
