Tiie Council adjourned at « till 7.30 p.m. The Council resumed at 7.30. The Stock Act Amendment Bill was put through its final stages and passed. Tho National Endowment Bill was put through its final stages and passed. The Public Service Superannuation Act was taken in committee and progress reported. The Attorney-General announced that tho Judiciary Bill would not bo proceeded with this session. Tho Bill was discharged from tho order paper. {j The Council rose at 0.30, in the House of Representatives the Premier said tho hills lie proposed to go on with wore Native Land Settlement; Gaming and Lotteries ; Government Railways Department Classification ; Christchurch Drainage Act Amendment; Water Supply Act Amendment; Railways Authorisation; Shop and Offices Act Amendment; Fire Brigades, and Animals’ Protection Bill. In the hitter, ho said, tho contentious clauses could bo dropped. Tho House wont into committee on tho Native Land Settlement Bill. House adjourned at 5.30 p.m. till 7.30 p.m. In the House of Representatives the Native Laud Bill was put through committee. Tho Minister formally moved tho third reading. The debate is proceeding.
