Charles Baruoy, until lately president of tho Knickerbocker Trust, has committed suicide. _ Official examination disclosed no evidence of fraud in the Knickerbocker Trust books, which were in goon order. Tlig losses of IVIr Barney, late President of the Trust, totalled £1,300,000. - • New'York, November 15. Mr Oortelyon, interviewed, said that if money now hoarded was re--stored to tho chiumels of trade within 2-1 hours there would be almost complete resumption of business. Ho declined to legislate on currency reform until tho proposals wore rigidly scrutinised.
