Thp Town and District jiill, and Statutes Repeal Bill from the Council were read a first time. The Shops and Offices Act Amendment Bill was read a second time, pro forma, and referred to the Labor Bills Committee. The Railways Improvements Authorisation Bill road a second time, put through pommittce, read a third tipie and passed. The Butter- Export Bill was read a second time. The House went into committee on tho Butter Export Bill which was reported unamended, read a third time and passed. The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Bill, Defence Act Amendment Bill, Infant Life Protection Animal Protection Bill, and Qtago Presbyterian Church Board of Property Act Amendment Bill were read a second time.
