Press Association —Copyright. Received -November 12, 10. It! p. in. Now York, November 12. The opinion is growiugtlr.it owing to the" weakness of Mr Taft’s candidature for the Presidency, Mr Roosevelt will consent to be re-elected for a third term. [Washington having declined a third term of the Presidency lest it should dovelope into a monarchy all ■subsequent Presidents have felt themselves bound by the precedent. It was hoped that as Mr Roosevelt was for the first term elected as Vice-President and succeeded though the assassination of President McKinley, he would stand again nut ho has so far steadfastly declined.]
