In the matter of *“ The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,’’ and - of “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901,” and the Acts amending the same respectively : The Council of the Borough of Marion hereby gives public notice that such Council proposes to raise a Special Loan of TISOO, under the provisions of “ The Local Bodies Lcans'Act, 1901,” and amendments, for the purpose of forming, kerbing, channelling, culverling and gravelling in the streets known as Broadway, Wellington Road, and High Slreet; also reconstructing and asphalting ths footpaths in the said streets, and to make an annual recurring Special Bate of one penny

and threee farthings in the £ sterling upon the rateable value (annual value) of all rateable property in the said Borough of Marion as security for the interest and Sinking Fund (Sinking Fund to be at the rate of 1 per centum per annum) in connection with such loan. The whole of the loan is to be repayable at the expiration of 15 years from the raising of the loan. It is proposed to pay out of the loan moneys the cost of raising the loan, but not the first year’s interest on the loan during the construction of the said works. And to make an annual recurring Special Rate of] threepence halfpenny (3£d) in the ! £ sterling upon the rateable value (annual value; of all rateable property in the said Borough of Marton as security for the interest and other charges in connection with such loan, and that such loan be for a period of 41 years, and the interest to be paid at the rate of 4 per cent per annum.
