LAND BOARD.

The following additional business was transacted at the monthly meeting of the Land Board : The ranger is to report fully on the application of T. O. Jones and G. J. Anderson for a strip of Crown lands south of the piece at Taihape which is to be leased to Mr de Mai j manche.

A report was received from the Crown lands ranger on sections 3, 4 and 5, block 5, Manngakaretu, and it was resolved to approve the prices being Axed at £3 5s per acre for section, and £3 for sectons 4 and 5, and offer them under part of the Land Act, 1892. It was resolved to again offer section 7, block 6, under improved farm conditions at £3 'per acre. O. Rowling’s application to lease section 11, block 3, Tirirankawa, from year to year, was approved, the rental to be fixed by the ranger. It was decided to allot section 7, block 1, Mauugakaretu, to M. 8011, sen., in terms of section 118 of the Act of 1892, at £4 per acre. It was decided to recommend that section 29, block 1, Unmtoi, be offered for disposal in the usual way, it having been kept so long. The Commissioner of Police wrote intimating that the persons trespassing on section 57, Ohakune township, had been warned to leave and had promised so. The nuder-secretary considered it' Was not advisable to sell section 30, block 5, Huangarua, and It was resolved to offer Mr Watson a year-to-year lease at 5 j’Of cent, on £3O an acre.

It was resolved not to offer Raetihi township sections for sale at present. J.. Stevenson will be offered a yearly lease of sections 121, 134, and 136, block 11, as a horse paddock at 5 per cent.on the capital value, viz., £1 per annum. It was resolved to recommend the disposal in the usual way of section 80, block 6, Apiti.
