Ellerslie Training Notes.

Auckland, November 2., The weather was dull for training work at Ellerslie this morning. All the tracks were open, the times rocored being for full distance. Cadence ran six furlongs on tho sand in 1.37 3-sths. Carl Rosa seven on the same track, the last five in I.S 35-ths. Necktie registered a good gallop over seven furlongs on the sand from a standing start in 1.35. Scotty did strong work only; Waipuua did a round on the grass assisted by Dunbore, the last seven furlongs in 31; Waipuua made a poor showing, and was easily held by his companion. Pohutu, Maliouo and Cambrian Celtic were restricted to easy tasks. After breakfast Santa Rosa, Cyalis, and Waimaugu went four furlongs grass in 53 secs., finishing together. Epsom Lass heat Sedition over five furlongs on tho grass inf 53-5; Taiminupo a similiar journey on the sand in .4-5; Ramparaha, Locbiuo, and Loros finished in that order over six furlongs on the sand in 9 3-5 ; General Soult heat Roosevelt over three furlongs on the sand in 39. Downfall, Loftus, Chauteuxdan, Leon, and Greydawn arrived this morning.
