Christchurch Meat Co., Woodville.
The display by the Christchurch Moat Co., Ltd., is one of the most
attractive features of the Exhibition Hall, and is characteristic of the progressiveness of such an institution. The exhibit is exceptionally well got up. This is tho first year that the Southern Company has come to the district and as they have now taken possession of the Woodville works it is only fitting that they should be represented. The main feature of their exhibit is the excellent showof the Company’s well known and favourite brand of “ Morepork ” hams and bacon and small goods. The quality of this high class bacon requires no comment. The ever increasing demand for the goods is in itself sufficient guarantee of the quality, It must however be very reassuring to farmers to know thatsuch a progressive concern is now fully represented in the North Island and their advent in the district is a sufficient guarantee of good pricesjfor pigs for the future. The Company are the largest buyers in the Dominion and with the outlet which the Company has farmers can rely on finding a sure outlet for their pigs at very satisfactory prices. Several of the other products of the Company are tastefully displayed, including sheeps’ tongues, canned meats, meat extract, etc. The Company’s wellknown “ C.M.C.” brand is now in very ready demand throughout the dominion.
