ROMNEY KARSH SHEEPBREEDERS’ ASSOCIATION.
The council mooting of the New Zealand Romney Marsh Sheep Breeders Association was heid on the Maunwatu Show Grounds yesterday. Mr G. Wheeler was iu the chair anil there was a full attendance of members. Applications were received lor registration from Messrs J. Mathews (Awahuri), A. H. Russell (Hastings) and W. Ohitty (Hamilton) and after hearing inspectors’ reports, wore accepted. In response to a circular ot Ihe Association six flocks of Southern breeders were admitted to the flock book.
Mr E. Short presented the Association with a tattoo instrument he had bought in England for the purpose of marking all Romney Marsh sheep exported from the Dominion. The council accepted the gift with thanks and set up a special committee to devise the best method of using it. Messrs T. aud A. Hunt, Wakefield (Nelson) Robt. Logan, Kokonga (Otago), J. P. Logan, Kelso, (Otago) D. Dickson, Greenfields, (Gore) J. A. Hodge, Greenfields, (Gore), in addition 8 other members were elected members of the Association.
