ARBITRATION COURT.

Per Press Association Auckland, October 29. The Arbitration Court, dealing with the compensation claims, divided the £350 awarded in the case of William Goerge Herries, killed in the City Council quarry, to be apportioned £ll6 13s 4d and £233 6s 8d for the maintenance of three children. J. Sutherland’s claim against the Union teamship Company for injuries sustained to his hand on the steamer Haupiri was reported settled out of court. In the case of the widow of Captain Gongales, who lost his life at soa after 21 years with the Northern Steamship Company, the Court allowed one-third of £339 to the widow, and the balance to her six children. ■'
