Press Association —C opyright. Berlin, October 26. The Court scandal continues to excite Europe. Prince Philip Eulonburg declines to attend the Court, alleging illness as an excuse.
The Judge sent a soldier to his private residence to identify him as a participant in Count Lynar’s orgies. Prince Eulenburg refused to see him. Counto Moltko flatly denies the charge of immorality, but admits undue sentimentality in his relations with Eulenburg. Ho declares that he resigned the commandantship of Berlin solely because he was the victim of slanderous accusations. Major Hulson, an official, reluctantly deposed that Count Moltke’a resignation was not solely due to military considerations. The Kaiser receives a special shorthand report of the trial regularly. October 27. The convincing winding up of Herr Harden’s defence aroused cheers in Court. Count Yon Moltke was greeted with groans aud cat-calls in the streets. Judgment will he given on Tuesday.
