Messrs Freeman B. Jackson and Go. report:—At our Wanganui sale on the 2nd instant we yarded 400 head of cattle, 8000 sheep, and 120 pio-g There was a goodfdemand for cattle, and all lines were disposed of; sheep sold well, a line of 900 2 and 4 tooth hill-bred wethers made 21s 6d under the hammer. Pig ß sold at advanced rates. Light fat bullocks £8 6s, good forward 4 year bullocks £6 10s, 3 year fresh-conditioned stores £5 ss, 2 year steers 2s to Bs, 2 year heifers £2, mixed yearlings 27s 6d to 80s, poor ditto 16s 6d to 24s Gd, good dairy cows £5 to £6, others £2 to £3 10s. Sheep; Fat wethers 26s to 26s 9d, fat ewes 18s 6d to 435, fat and forward wethers 22s sd, 2 and 4 tooth wethers 20s 6d, ewe hoggets 17s lid, wether hoggets 15s, cull hoggets 0s to 12s, forward empty ewes los, good ewes with lambs 12s 6d to 15s Bd. Pigs: Choppers £2 16s, best perk 35s to 40s, medium pork 80s, light ditto 22s 6d to 275, stores 15s to 20s, small ditto 12s, voalers 265.
