Wool Sales.
Messrs J. M. Johnston and Co., agents for Messrs Murray, Eoberts and Co., have received the following wool market cablegram from their London house, Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co., dated 4th October, 1907: — The sales have closed firm, 7000 bales being held over. There is no change to report since our .ast advice, excepting in greasy merino, which has advanced five to seven and a half per cent as compared with the last London sales closing rates.
Messrs Abraham aud Williams, Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents nn-
dor yestreday’s date: —The sales have closed very* firm for merinos and coarse and fine crossbreds. Medium crossbreds are neglected. Opening prices have been well maintained and show an advance over last series of %(S. to • per lb for fine and coarse crossbreds, J£d to Id for merinos and up to %d per lb for lambs. The total quantity held over is 7000 bales of which 5000 are New Zealand.
