Colonel Templar’s airship Null! Seoundus leaving Farnborough afc 10.10 s.m. and starting against a light wind, steered via Staines to London. The airship ’ passed over St. Paul’s at 12.25 p.m. when it had travelled 33 miles. It circled round the dome of St. Paul’s and finally at 2.15 p.m. skilfully descended to the centre of the cycle track at the Crystal Palace. Colonels Capper and Cody, and Lieut. Waterlow, who were aboard were delighted with the behaviour of the ship, which rose and fell at their bidding. The aeroplanes steered perfectly. The journey aroused intense public interest. The whirl of the screw and the noise of the motors were plainly audible. ........ ~
During her trip the Nnlli Secundns manoeuvred over Buckingham PalThero will bo a reception of the visit on Otohor 14th, when the King will inspect the airship. She came within 300 feet of tho War Office and was frequently low enough to enable Londoners to follow the movements of the occupants. The maximum speed with the wind was 24 miles an hour. Going south with a contrary wind the svpcod was reduced to 7 miles an hour.
