The ballot for five sections iu the Hukanui village settlement, ranging from 2G to 37 aoros each, and ten sections of the Niroaha village settlement, ranging from 44 to 54 acres took place to-day The total applications were 1424 from 181 applicants. The successful applicants at Hukanui wore T. O’Keefe (Palmerston North), J. T. Smith (Hukanui), Peter Lawson (Mangamaire), L>. Myers (Palmerston North), IV. Myers (Newtown). For the Nircaha sections they were F. L. Wildboro (Foildiimj, F. E. Petherick (Wellington), i George Johnston (Wellington), P. Quinlan (Nirealia), F. H. Uowden (Nirealia), Henry Pulton (Mireaha), C. E. Wildbore (Poliangina), W. McDonald (Nirealia), J. H. Logrovo (Nirealia) and P. O’Neill (Newtown).
