“gravel pit on western side of Wellington road, cost of same to be obtained for the next meeting. The Gas Manager reported : Sales, etc., £3ll Os 8d ; expenditure £l5B 2a 7(1. During the month two meters had been fixed and three services laid. The tar tank and’ stand had been erected. Gas made for six months ending Sept. 30th was 3,094,500 cubic feet, an increase of 876,300 cubic feet or over 40 per cent on corresponding months of last year, when the increase was 10 per cent on the corresponding period. A motion was carried consolidating the loans £7300 and £SOOO falling due Ist October, 1907. The Mayor (Dr. Skerman) and Or. Lyon were appointed Sinking Fund Commissioners for the loan £2500 and the Consolidated Loan of £12,000.
